Because marketing is multidimensional requiring expertise in traditional print as well as Web 2.0 applications, marketing communication is a major ongoing task. Additionally, libraries must find ways to tie into information streams offered by providers such as Amazon and Google Books.

In a word, library marketing is about finding ways to tap into the digital information revolution. That target is moving faster and faster every day.</description>
