How It Works:

1. Order Text a Librarian and choose a Microboard for your library.
   • A Microboard is a secure, web-based area where your mobile questions and answers will live.
   • Think of it as a password-protected message board online where questions are shown and answers are typed in.

2. Patrons text questions to your Microboard with their mobile phones.
3. Your Reference Desk Librarians receive the questions via your existing email and/or IM system.
4. Librarians type their answers into the Microboard which are then sent back to your patrons as a text message.
   • Questions and answers can be archived and searched, serving as a "live" online knowledge bank.
   • They can also be used for training purposes or to see what questions get asked most frequently.
